Studies show that since cannabinoids (CBD’s) address the process of inflammation, focusing on immune/allergic reactions, inflammatory pain and neuroinflammation, allergic asthma issues may be alleviated.
The activation of CB1 and CB2 receptors on mast cells has direct anti-inflammatory effects, causing decreased release of pro-inflammatory mediators by these cells. The activation of CB1 receptors on bronchial nerve endings has bronchodilator effects by acting on the airway smooth muscle and may be beneficial in airway hyperreactivity and asthma.
In short, local honey, CBD infused honey, and Netti Pots may reduce your inflammation. Try one or all of these ideas to relieve your symptoms.
There are several ways to thwart allergies:
1) CBD infused honey taken 1 tsp a day prior to allergy season has helped many people avoid allergic reactions or at least lower their reaction.
2) Oral CBD capsules or Flavored Tinctures, taken daily during allergy season or as needed. Their anti-inflammatory affects may lessen the swelling within the sinuses. (I have seasonal allergies and this works for me!)
3) Netti Pots are designed to wash out the sinuses lessening the irritants to the respiratory system. Be aware to use purified water and natural salts.
Removing allergy triggers may alleviate complications, but when that’s not possible (I live on 10 acres of wooded land and love my dog!) then supporting the immune system with the above suggestions maybe just the thing to ease allergies and asthma.
